Ahad Zwooqar joined WYSAC at the University of Wyoming in November 2020 as an Assistant Research Scientist. Ahad works on evaluating public health programs focused on the prevention of tobacco use and chronic diseases. She also contributes to various projects with the criminal justice research team at WYSAC. In August 2020, Ahad completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Emory University. While there, her training focused on community health development, epidemiology, and gender-based violence research and evaluation. Her master’s thesis explored bystander behaviors regarding sexual harassment. In 2016, Ahad completed a BA in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, where she received a distinction in research. Ahad’s strong research skills and ethics along with her professional training that has spanned a range of fields including public health, social & behavioral sciences, and human rights reflect her commitment to addressing inequity.
