Web & Database Developer

Now Hiring: Freelance Web Developer

The Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center at the University of Wyoming is looking for a contract web developer with experience in ASP.NET and SQL to start immediately.  You would assist our team in finishing an extensive web-oriented software project for a client through June 30, 2020.

Ideally, you would have the bandwidth to work up to 35-40 hours per week from hire through June 30, 2020 and be available during business hours, Mountain Time, via email/Slack/Zoom etc..  That being said, you would have the flexibility to set your own hours, work weekends, etc. in a remote environment.

Skills and Experience

Ideally, this position would have experience in SQL Server development, including stored procedures and using functions, as well as developing in an .NET environment.  Our project is built using Web Forms, so familiarity with ASP.NET and managing database-side interaction via Web Forms is preferable.  Bonus if you have experience integrating Web Forms with JavaScript / JQuery on the front-end and/or developing using Bootstrap 4.

You would be an integrated member of our team under a very tight deadline, so experience with both is essential.

This position is a temporary, contract position with no benefits.  Any and all components developed for this project would become property of our client, though you would be more than welcome to include this experience on a resume, portfolio, etc.  You would be considered an independent vendor with the University of Wyoming and would need to meet the University’s requirements for contractor vendors.
